TL;DR: No major news or schedule changes since the previous update. We are still scheduling fulfillment to begin in October.
Once again, no news is good news. We are nearing the end of the manufacturing and assembly section of the calendar and Team Roxley will soon be working on shipping and pre-fulfillment organization with our fulfillment partners. Our schedule still has fulfillment beginning in October; we will confirm more specific dates with you when we are able to confirm this is locked down.

Game assembly continues - ALMOST completely on schedule.
There was a minor delay to fix a playmat issue that added ten days to final assembly... but fortunately, that happened right after we received the news that the manufacturer was five days ahead of their planned deadline. So the net delay between the two will be less than a week.
Frustratingly for Team Roxley, the copy pictured above still hasn't actually arrived in Calgary! These pictures were taken by our team in the USA, who sent us a sneak peek, so we could get you some images in time for the Update. We can't WAIT to get our hands on the real thing!
Discs! Discs! Discs!
This isn't what we meant when we asked for a large disc-count!
A handful of backers have messaged to ask about the upgrade to the water discs, which are slightly smoother and heavier now than the ones in the campaign preview.
It's never convenient (or universally popular) to have to make changes to a product between funding and fulfillment, and Team Roxley never takes these decisions lightly, but (as mentioned in previous updates) we just weren't happy with the original samples. We therefore worked with the manufacturer to evaluate several different alternatives for durability, paint quality, tactile feel, and visual appeal before we were willing to sign off on the best overall solution.
Team Roxley loves the new discs, and we consider them a definite improvement. However, if any backer feels differently and would like to modify their pledge because of it, we understand and respect this. Please message [email protected] with the details and we will assist you.

It took us ordering multiple versions of these and exchanging several emails with the manufacturer to get these little beauties exactly right, but we are so happy with the results! We really wanted these not just look amazing, but to FEEL amazing in your hands (which is only appropriate, given that they represent the single most important resource in the Radlands!)
The majority of the game components are finished now, and the injection molding of these is under way. They will be painted next, then moved to the final assembly stage to await packaging and shipping.
There continue to be disruptions in the shipping industry in China (as many backers are already aware), but as of this time we are still on schedule for October fulfillment. Team Roxley is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to update backers regularly as per our usual policy.
2021-06-17 - Manufacturers Projecting 4 Week Delay. Game Box Sample Video!

TL;DR: Fulfillment is now expected to shiftinto October due to industry delays in China. See below for a quick video highlighting the UV spot finish on the final Radlands game box.
We were really hoping this one was going to go off smoothly... and it looked like it was going to, until our most recent emails from the manufacturers, which are now projecting a delay of four weeks for completion and shipping of the final game, moving fulfillment into October.
Southern China has experienced a resurgence of the virus, which is disrupting industries of all kinds, but is particularly impacting the shipping industry, exponentially increasing delays at ports in Shenzen and Guangzhou, and driving the cost of shipping containers up dramatically as companies battle for shipping priority.
Team Roxley apologizes for this delay. We are regular communication with the manufacturer, and will continue to work with them to mitigate this as much as possible, and we will continue to keep you updated with any new developments.

2021-06-03 - No News Continues To Be Good News

TL;DR: As with the previous two updates, there is little to report. Componentproduction is still underway. Final game assembly begins soon. We are still aimingfor fulfillment to begin in September.
We were *hoping* we might have final samples of the water discs to show off for this update... but as sometimes happens, the "final" manufacturer sample turned out to not be not so final after all - the water discs still weren't *quite* there yet.
We still don't expect this to affect our fulfillment timeline. The manufacturer has been very prompt and communicative and a new mold is being created and put into production this week, which will further improve the finish, texture, weight, and smoothness of the water discs over the quality of our most recent sample.
